The Ragdoll
Developed in California in the 1960s, the Ragdoll is a large, gentle, blue-eyed cat renowned for its laid-back temperament and dog-like devotion. They thrive on human company, get along beautifully with children and other pets, and are happiest as indoor companions.
Their placid nature makes them wonderful first cats — but it also means they rely on responsible, indoor homes that keep them safe.
See our kittensWhat makes a Ragdoll special
Ragdolls bond closely with their people and love to be held — many go limp with contentment, giving the breed its name.
One of the biggest domestic breeds; males reach 6–9 kg and take up to 4 years to fully mature.
A plush semi-long coat with minimal undercoat means less matting and easy weekly grooming.
All purebred Ragdolls have striking blue eyes and a colour-pointed pattern in several colours.
Colours & patterns
Ragdolls come in a range of point colours across four patterns. Explore the kittens we have in each.
